Our beloved Bernadette DeMars, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer at Chatham Kent Health Alliance on Sunday, July 3, 2022. Bernadette was the loving daughter of Rosmarie Demars and the late Joseph DeMars. Wife of Carl Latford for 29 joyous years. A dedicated and caring mother of two sons Christian DeMars (Brittany),Cameron DeMars (Kiley Parry) and her dear dog Trigger. Sister of Joseph DeMars (Kim) and Jim DeMars (Tracy). Sister in law of Rennie Latford (Leeann) and Margaret Wright (Chris). Also survived by many friends and extended family. Bernadette enjoyed a long and successful career in public service working for Service Canada for over 25 years. However, Bernadette’s most treasured moments were at home cooking and hosting get-togethers for her family and friends. A private celebration of life will be planned. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Chatham Kent Hospice.
