Jim Lifely (14th February 1937 – 20th February 2022)
It is with heavy hearts that we must share the news that Jim Lifely of Fruitvale, BC has passed away. He was much loved and is sadly missed by his family in Canada and England including his four children, Carol Barnes, Lila Lifely, Tiki Preeper and Raymond Lifely, his sister June Parnell their partners and families. He was a grandfather to six children and great-grandfather to one. Jim was born in Somerset, England, and came to Canada with his brother Philip as a young man. The brothers settled in Fruitvale where he met his wife Clara who preceded him some years ago. Jim worked at Teck in Trail for many years but he was a farmer at heart, working on his farm in Fruitvale raising chickens and sheep with his wife and family. He had a deep knowledge and love of nature and animals. He was always happy to help friends and neighbours, enjoyed square dancing and sharing stories and was part of the Subway coffee morning gang who were his valued friends.
It’s not goodbye- just ‘Ta Ta for now’ Jim- forever in our hearts
There will be a memorial coffee morning at Beaver Valley Curling, Club 125 Pine Ave. Fruitvale on Friday March 25 2022 from 11am-1pm. Public Heath Order Rules will apply to this event- double vaccination and mask wearing mandatory.
