BEN LIS
FEB 15, 1950- FEB 28, 2022
Peacefully after a lengthy illness, It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Ben Lis at Fred Douglas society at the age of 72. Diane was by his side when he passed.
Ben is survived by Diane Rodrigue, his loving wife of 39 years as well as his sisters Ursula (Gord), Margaret (Gerrard), Jadzia (Ray) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ben is predeceased by his parents Micheal and Stanislawa, and his brother Andy.
Ben had a love for dogs. He also loved playing golf with his friends John and Ed as well as numerous beers after golf. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. Ben worked at CP rail as a diesel mechanic before I met him. He would go to Continental hotel after work. This is where we met many years ago. He spent many years doing flooring installations until his stroke.
Ben was born in Krzywa, Poland before he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1961.
Special thank you to the wonderful staff at Fred Douglas society for their patience and compassion.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to heart and stroke foundation.
Cremation has taken place at Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel. There will be no service

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ben Joseph Lis February 15 1950 February 28 2022..
