JONES, Beatrice- On Thursday May 26, 2022 at the Cornwall Community Hospital. At the age of 95 years. Loving wife of the late Roscoe Jones. Cherished mother of Robin Jones (Elizabeth Sansoucy-Jones), grandmother of Elissa and Erica (Bryson) and great-grandmother of Bria and Graham. Predeceased by her parents Dolphus and Philomene Bourdon, her brother Oscar Bourdon (Yolande) and her sister Yvonne Sauve (Wilfred). She ended a varied working career as a Business Teacher at GVSS and became a dedicated volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society, Trinity Anglican Church, Hospice Cornwall, and the Women’s Auxilliary Hospital Gift Shop. Beatrice was a proud competitor in the Ontario Senior Games and she won many awards in swimming, x-country skiing and bicycling right into her early 90s. Beatrice was blessed with the energy to pursue all her many activities and interests.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday June 4, 2022 from 10am-12pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall. Memorial donations to the
Baldwin House, 40 Fourth Street West, Cornwall, 613-938-3903 would be appreciated by the family.
