Basil Allen Mellroy – 81, Debert. It is
with great sadness we announce the passing of Basil Allen Mellroy on
Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre,
Truro. Born in Hartford, he was a son of the late David and Esther
(O’Brien) Mellroy.
Proud father of Jeff Mellroy, Trevor (Sabrina) Mellroy, Troy
(Kim) Mellroy, Trent Mellroy and special mention, Brian
Lloyd. Loving Papa to Tyler, Taylor, Brennan, Summer, Chyann, Rylee,
Spencer, Skyler, Keegan and Madison. Basil is also survived by his
brother, Herb (Donna Mae) Mellroy; sisters, Shirley Thompson and
Isobel Mellroy; brother-in-law, Les (Wanda) Lloyd; numerous nieces and
nephews. Basil has joined the love of his life, Pamela Mellroy and
son, Michael.
Interment will be held at a later date in Main Road Cemetery,
Debert. If so desired, donations in Basil’s memory to
Diabetes Canada, Kidney Foundation (Atlantic Chapter) or IWK Health
Centre Foundation are welcomed.
