Barbara Hogan 1951 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beautiful mom, Rita Barbara Anne (Gibson) Hogan, age 71 years, passed peacefully away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear.
She fought a valiant battle with ALS to the end. She accepted her diagnosis and decided to ensure she laughed and made the most of every day.
Predeceased by her parents: Lawrence ‘Lorne’ and Rose (King) Gibson; siblings: Ron, Robert, Elizabeth, and Linda.
She leaves to mourn, her husband of 52 years, Leo; daughters: Mary, Carbonear and Leona (Chris), Calgary, AB; her grandchildren: Matthew Rodgers (Autavia), Kit Hogan (Brenwyn), Robert Hogan, Brayden Fortune, and Alex; great-grandchildren: Malachy and Hazel, all in Alberta; brothers: Jim (Mabel) Gibson, Kingston and Tom (Donna) Gibson, Bay Roberts; also a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A huge heartfelt thank you to the staff of 2 North for their wonderful care for our mom. You went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable and well cared for, especially Mark Crane.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, December 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass to take place on Friday, December 30 at 10:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Northern Bay. Interment in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the ALS Society of NL, 3 Herald Ave, Suite 3, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 4B8, online at alsnl.ca.
