Obituary of Barbara Ann Langlois
In the early morning of Tuesday May 31th 2022, Barbara Langlois took her last breath on this earth. She passed peacefully in her sleep. She is survived by her 3 children, Amy, Mark and David Langlois, and their children Daniel, Spencer, Alana, Stacey, Jocelyn, and Caleigh. All the grandchildren were a source of joy. Barbara will be remembered by all who knew her as a strong-willed woman who tried to make a happy family.
Those who knew Barbara will hope that wherever her soul rests now she has a beautiful lake to sit by and to swim in. We hope that lake is surrounded with the trees of Ontario and the temperate climate she so loved when travelling to warmer places over the winters in her motor home. Hoping that she is well stocked with chocolate and blocks of ice cream, because grandma Barbara didn’t believe in ice cream scoops, she opened the carton right up and sliced it with a knife.
In her house in Arnprior, she used to have a sign up in her kitchen which read “Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy chocolate and that’s pretty much the same thing”. We all thought it was funny at the time…..Chocolate and family visits were a source of happiness to her in her final years. The love, support and care demonstrated by her nieces Ann and Joan was unwavering over the years of Barbara’s life as was Daughter in law Janice who was beside her in her final days until the end. She is no longer suffering.
Barbara loved in her own way. She showed love through sweets and through the adventures and experiences she provided for the people she cared about. Let’s remember Barbara for her feisty spirit and strength of character.
Rest easy grandma Barbara, the blackbird is calling you home.
