Peacefully at the Ruddy Shenkman Hospice in Ottawa on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Barbara Mackey of Kanata, age 84. Beloved wife of Jacques Cronier for 63 years. Loving mother of Terry (Jamie) and Paul (Janet). Loving grandmother of Sharla and Trevor. Dear sister of Billie Bannister (late John), Ginger Mackey (Bernie), Lawrence Mackey (Helen), Loretta Geertsma (Bert), Glenn Mackey (Lucy), Glenda Merrill and Melinda Plato (Len). Dear sister-in-law of Diane Mackey, Carol Mackey, Frank Friend, Bill Sutherland and Stan Bajcar. She was predeceased by her parents Clarence Mackey and Evelyn Prescott and her siblings Aileen Thistle (Alex), Mervin Mackey, Marlene Rolfe, Mitchel Mackey, June Friend, Patricia Sutherland and Jean Bajcar. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church in Chesterville on Wednesday, September 28th at 11 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will be at Notre Dame Cemetery in Ottawa. Donations to the Ruddy Shenkman Hospice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
