RODGER, Barbara Joan
Passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland, on Saturday April 9, 2022, at the age of 83. Daughter of Thelma Lowes.
Proud mother of Michael – predeceased, Peter – predeceased, David (Jane), Michele Chard (Brad), James (Cindy), Robert (Laurel), Patricia Stafferton (Richard – predeceased), and Kevin.
Proud grandmother of Billie-jo, Kimberley, Meagan – predeceased, Cameron, Natasha, Colleen, Christina, Vanessa, Stephanie, Robert, Sarah, Ryan, Blake, Seth, Zoe, Henry, Aidan, and Alex.
Proud great-grandmother of fifteen, and great-great grandmother of three. Dear sister of Carole Rosenburg (Jack) and Nancy Saunders – predeceased, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and will be forever known for her delicious homemade bread and chelsea buns!
Barbara was the author of many poems and short stories.
And So Please Dear
I write of death, and wonder why.
Is death not life that has passed by?
A door may close, another opens
To bring to all the heavens,
A light so bright, our souls cry out.
Awaken please! Greet this day,
For love my dear is here to stay.
No pain, no strife, no heart aches
To those of us that do awake.
The peace and serenity we find here,
Brings only joy and so please dears.
Feel no pain for my passing.
I have now found LOVE… everlasting.
