BARBARA DALE DONALDSON
It’s with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Barbara Donaldson on January 31st, 2022, age 73 in Winnipeg. She is deeply loved and missed by her husband Reg, daughters Morrie (Rob) and Karri (Ian), grandchildren Kassie (Gabe), Emma and Bo. Barb was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Olga Dedick. She missed them dearly and she loved to share stories about them with her children.
Barb had a kind and gentle soul. She put the needs of others before her own. She was very giving and always had something for you take home. She always knew what to say and had so many words of wisdom to share.
Barb found a way to make you laugh when you least expected it, her laugh was contagious! Her hugs were so warm and her voice comforting.
Barb spent many beautiful days on the deck with her family, enjoying the lake, the sun and the animals.
Barb and Reg were married for 53 years. Her heart was content sitting with her loving husband while knitting with her dogs by her side. They also enjoyed many beautiful years under the cabana in Mexico, Reg will treasure these memories.
Barb lovingly dedicated 43 years of work to HSC in psychiatry, where she formed many special bonds and friendships that continued after retirement.
Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and the love they shared. She was called nana but they could also call her mom.
Barb was the heart of our home and will be forever loved and missed. We long for the day we get to be together again.
To honour barb’s wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to K9Advocates.
