COOTE, Barbara Ann (Shaw) – Passed away on September 9, 2022 peacefully, with her family by her side after a short battle with cancer at the age of 69.
Survived by her husband of 52 years, Douglas, her three sons, Paul (Maria), Sean (Rachelle), James and her grandchildren, Briar, Ethan, Miya and Levi. Dear sister to Ron (Karen) Shaw and Betty (Dave) Ruzylo. Predeceased by her parents, Lillian, Raymond & June Shaw.
Barb was a nurse for over 30 years at the St. Catharines General and cherished her many patients and colleagues who truly fulfilled her life. Her passion for people continued in her retirement as an active participant of Red Hatters, Walker Talkers, GOTCHA Girls, Round Lake Ladies and TOPS.
Special thanks to the team at Hospice Niagara for their care and compassion in her final days.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake on Saturday, September 17th from 4-7 pm. A celebration of Barb’s life will be held at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, September 18th at 1 pm. Private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Niagara or Princess Margaret Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Memories photos and condolences may be shared at www.morganfuneral.com
