Obituary for
Baby Pearl Marie Julien-Reid
Baby Pearl Marie Julien-Reid – Millbrook First Nation.
Alisha and Caleb’s precious baby Pearl brought us joy and excitement for the short time she was with us. We all fell in love.
She comes from a lineage of strong Mi’kmaq women. Her grandmothers include Martha Julien, Linda Julien, Joan Lotti Peterson, Lisa Marie McDonald, and Lottie Reid.
Her oldest sister, Grace Marie (11), was looking forward to dress up and pig tails and hair bows with baby Pearl. Her oldest brother, Alexander (3), was excited to enjoy having a little sister to teach. Baby Nelson (21 months) does not have a lot of words but would often hug his mommy’s belly, in his own way welcoming Pearl to our home.
We are sad that our Nelson doesn’t get to be a big brother at this time. We are saddened to not see Pearl learn to crawl and run.
We honour Creator God for the gift of Pearl Marie and will forever be changed by the small and perfect hands and feet we were blessed to see and touch before she had to leave.
A Funeral Mass will be held on October 5, 2022, at 4p.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook, with Father Jim O’Connor officiating. Burial will follow the service in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Millbrook.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Baby Pearl Marie
