Obituary of Austin LeDrew
Austin LeDrew passed peacefully away at his home in Embree on February 13th, 2022, at the age of 78 years. In addition to his parents Austin was predeceased by his wife Madeline, brothers Tommy, Guy, Gladstone and sister-in-law Marie.
Austin was born in Salt Pond on February 28, 1943, to Otto and Myrtle LeDrew he was one of nine children.
On June 4th, 1968, he married the love of his life Madeline Hoddinott, they were married 49 years and raised three children together. He spent most of his life working as a truck driver, in later years Madeline often joined him on road trips.
Many of his interests included listening to music, reading and boating, but by far his favourite topic of conversation was antique classic cars.
Leaving to cherish his memory his son Paul (Dorothy), daughters Nadine (Perry) and Tracy; three precious grandchildren: Jas, Jared and Kyle, as well two precious great grandsons Daniel and Benjamin; brothers, Nelson (Betty), Ralph (Joan) Derek (Christine); three sisters, Betty -Lou (Lewis), Kay (Max) and Jacque (Shawn); and a large circle of relatives and friends.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Resting at Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Embree on Thursday, from 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 2pm. (Please call the church at 535-8103. (proof of vaxpass required) Interment will follow at the Community Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to assist the family.
