AUSTIN MABEE
JUNE 29, 1936 – APRIL 5, 2022
The family sadly announces the passing of Austin Mabee in his 86th year on Tuesday April 5, 2022, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Loving husband to Jean for over 52 years. Son of the late George and Nancy Mabee (Rice). Loving father to Carl Vyse, Karen and her husband Kelvin Vaughan. Loving father to a special niece Tammy and her husband Peter Klassen and grandchildren Kara, Douglas, Tyler, Domanick and Christian and a special niece Nancy and her husband Steve Reading and grandson Shawn and a special nephew Lyle Hosner. Survived by sister-in-law Shirley Mabee and Fay Hosner as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Walter, Clarence and Donald as well as sister Virgie Butcher and Marion Baxter.
A visitation will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg on Saturday April 9, 2022, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The Mabee family has requested all guests attending the visitation to wear a face mask. Following visitation a graveside service will be held at the Straffordville Cemetery. Donation in Austin’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association and can be done online or by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home at 519-842-5221.
