Austin Douglas Joseph Paul of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the age of 61. Born in Newcastle, NB, the son of the late Wallace and Mary Metallic Paul.
Austin was well known in his community. He liked to have fun and was always the life of any social gatherings.
Austin is survived by one brother: Stafford Paul of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Austin is predeceased by his siblings: Frank Paul, John Paul, Elizabeth Young, and Frances Isaac.
Visitation will take place at Bell’s Funeral Home, Miramichi on Friday, May 27, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Esgenoôpetitj on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Father Godwin Kalu officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
