Aurelia “Marjorie” Bala
April 30, 1933 – August 12, 2022
Early in the morning of Friday, August 12, 2022 our mother Marjorie Bala (nee Budolowski) age 89, was spirited to heaven by her guardian angel. Marjorie was born in Ukraina, Manitoba, and moved to Windsor in 1951 where she met Ray, her adoring husband of 62 years who predeceased her in 2015. Cherished and much loved mother of Ron (Lou Ann), Jo-Ann, and Ray Jr. (Tracey). Beloved grandmother of Raechel Moayer (Ryan), and Nikolos and James Bala. Proud great grandmother of Zara and Elle Moayer. Predeceased by her parents Mike and Josephene Budolowski, sister Alice Dudar and brother Walter Budolowski. Mother will be dearly missed by sisters-in-law Nadia Martin (Joe 2014) and Iris Bala, and her cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mother is a Life Member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League at Saints Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church where she served as president and assisted in the production of countless perogies and cabbage rolls for fundraising and church and family festivities. It was her gentle disposition and quiet nature that became her hallmark especially when faced with late in life challenges.
The family wishes to thank the attentive and caring staff at Amica Riverside, her home away from home for the past five years.
Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm with prayers at 7pm. Funeral Service is Friday, August 19, 2022 at 10:30am at Saints Vladimir and Olga Church, 601 Lake Trail Drive, Windsor, followed by internment at Heavenly Rest.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making a donation to Saints Vladimir and Olga’s Capital Fund to offset the church’s building mortgage. Envelopes will be available at Windsor Chapel and church.
