Dorn, Augustine “Gus” – 60, Oxford, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late August and Margarete (Heinzelmann) Dorn. Gus always worked in the woods and on the family farm. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and being outdoors but his greatest joy was his son and his granddaughter. Gus loved animals and always had pets around the farm. His smile and laughter were contagious. He would open his home to anyone and everyone; those that knew him said he had a heart of gold. He is survived by son, Nick; granddaughter, Audie; brothers, George (Denise), John; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Tuesday, December 6 at MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Oxford. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, December 7 at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, Streets Ridge.
