Obituary of Audrey Johnston
Peacefully and surrounded by family at Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, July 21, 2022, Audrey Johnston of Bluevale, passed away at the age of 78.
Devoted wife of Murray Johnston. Adored mom of Valerie & Mike Watson of Brussels, Debbie & Jason Kerley of Chepstow, Bruce & Dawn Johnston of Brussels, and Ian & Laura Johnston of Brussels. Cherished grandma of Lindsay & Craig, Andrew & John Mark, Zach & Chey, Nathan & Chelsea, Nicole & Gary, Alexa & Bobby, Zane, Damen & Lauren, Amber & Jared, Jordan & Kyle, Jamee & Mike, Jess & Jake, Jordyn & Jacob, Ashley & Logan, Brookelynn & Braden and Simon and great-grandma of Wesley, Madeline, Emerson, Jack, Addison, Archer, Augustus and Keegan. Sister of Dave & Rosemary Wheeler and sister-in-law of Shirley Nicholson and Bessie Johnston. Audrey will be deeply missed by her large extended family.
Awaiting her in Heaven with open arms and a hug is her grandson Lucas Braun (2017). She is also predeceased by her parents John “Jack” & Mildred Wheeler, and brothers-in-law Ross Nicholson, Gerry Johnston, Ken Johnston and Glen Johnston.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 at the Wingham Knights of Columbus Centre at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery.
Following the ceremony and burial, a celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at Ian & Laura Johnston’s home (41301 Cardiff Rd., Brussels), food will be provided but please bring your own lawn chair and refreshments. Everyone is welcome to attend.
