Audrey Evelyn Wright 1928 2022

Audrey Evelyn Wright (Layman)
June 27, 1928 – January 18, 2022
It is with saddened, yet comforted hearts, that the family of Audrey Wright announce her peaceful passing at the Drayton Valley Hospital on January 18, 2022, at the age of 93 years.
Audrey was born in Hafford Saskatchewan and grew up on the family farm near Speers. She moved to Saskatoon to continue her education and then worked for several years at International Harvester.
Audrey is survived by her children, Donn (Jerry), Ken (Tara), Sheryl (Art) and Doug, along with her brother, Murray Layman. Audrey will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jed, Bill, Heather, Jen, Amber, Travis and Aaron; her great grandchildren, Rian, Hailey and Verin, along with her nieces, Dresda (Denis) and Danielle.
Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Wright; her parents, Harry and Verna Layman and her nephew, Donald Layman.
The family will always celebrate their memories of Audrey’s life, and will always remember her passion for crafting – she did so much knitting and quilting. She was also the family historian, keeping the records of the family tree. While serving along side her husband with development work in Africa, Audrey used her crafting skills and passion to serve others by teaching women the art of knitting and other hand crafts. Her spirit and character will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
A celebration of Audrey’s life and her interment, will take place at a later date. Arrangements in care of Dwayne Henley at:
