Audrey’s Obituary
With great sadness, the family of the late Audrey Strelioff announce her passing at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK, on January 20, 2022, at the age of 74 years.
Audrey was born to Anton and Solvieg (Vik) Berg on February 8, 1947, at Kandahar, SK. Raised on the family farm in Wynyard, third of five children, it was filled with love, endless laughter, and mischief. Her and her siblings, Marlene, Lenora, Brenda, and Randy remained close and talked often. Many fun memories were made at family reunions.
Audrey was a good student at the Big Quill School and completed high school at Wynyard Composite. She continued her studies at Kelsey Institute, Saskatoon, completing the CNA nursing program. During training in Canora, she met her future husband, Ron Strelioff and fell in love.
They were married November 3, 1967, in Canora, SK, and began their life together on the family farm with Ron’s parents, Bill and Mary. They were blessed with three children, Dana, Jason, and Kevin. Audrey was a loving wife and devoted mother. They were a very active family with camping and snowmobiling, road trips, and family get-togethers. Many good memories were made at the family cabin at Madge Lake, entertaining family and friends.
Audrey was a treasure for her patients and brought her sense of humour to every shift at the Canora Hospital. She was at home raising her children after Jason was born. She completed her LPN and later worked Gateway Lodge for 21 years and at Eaglestone Lodge. She also became a Cosmetologist and worked as a hairdresser in town and set up shop at home. It was fun for her to beautify her neighbours, friends, and family.
Audrey was a Sunday school teacher, delicious cook, avid sewer, gardener, reader, macrame and pottery maker. She loved to camp, entertain, travel, fish, golf and visit with family.
Losing Ron was a difficult time in her life. After some time, she was fortunate to meet another companion in her life, Rollie Wilcox. They were blessed to find each other, had a wonderful relationship, and enjoyed time with friends, children and grandchildren.
She was an easy friend to make and never knew a stranger. You felt welcome in her presence and always had a laugh. Loved by many, enemies few, she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Ron; and her parents, Anton and Solvieg. Left to cherish her memory, Audrey is survived by her partner, Rollie; children: Dana, Jason and Kevin (Kelly); and her grandchildren, Jack, Davis, Hayden, Kale and Ashton; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
