Audrey Mary Knox (Northcott)
Passed peacefully in the early hours of May 10, 2022 with her son and daughter by her side. Audrey leaves behind her children, her partner, her brothers and sisters-in-law, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, her many nieces and nephews, cousins, many friends and extended family. Audrey was born in Great Harbour Deep, Newfoundland in 1930 and moved to Ontario in her early 20’s. No matter what, going home meant back to “the rock”. Family meant everything to Audrey.
Known as the “roadrunner” she always loved being on the go. She cherished all the years she resided on Risdon Court and the friends she acquired there. Very few could pass by Audrey without her camera coming out for “one more pic”. She was incredibly kind, beautiful inside and out, loving, gentle and never shied away from adventure. She would have turned 92 years young this November. With many ailments over the past 10 years, she always had a smile would say, “I’m fine”.
A special thank you to all her caring PSW’s that went above and beyond. Her intelligence, warmth and laughter will be missed by her loved ones. May her soul find rest and peace.
Cremation has already taken place; however, her children Denise and Darrell will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at 2 p.m. at The Stonebridge Beach Club, 270 River Road East, Wasaga Beach for anyone who wishes to come and toast Audrey’s incredibly full life. If lieu of flowers, donations in Audrey’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
