Audrey Fineberg (Née Kert)
Peacefully, in her ninety-sixth year, on Monday, August 29, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Alec (Sig) for sixty years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Joe and Elaine (Nussbaum), Ruth and Mark Cleaver, and David and Lorie Fineberg. Cherished grandma of Sheri Fineberg and Joe Velsher, Allan Fineberg, Eric Fineberg and Marina Masckauchan; Rebecca and Joel Bennett, Hannah Cleaver and Jeff Pelc, Shawn Cleaver and Laura Dallaston, Julie and Kurt Schmidt; Jason Fineberg, James Dewtie, and Ashley Fineberg and Corey Lachance. Proud great-grandmother of Jeremy, and Zachary; Roman, Bohdi, Emily, Keira, and Carson. Predeceased by her brother & sister-in-law Monroe and Sybil Kert; and by Alec’s siblings and their spouses Lou and Esther, Stan and Eva. Audrey will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to her wonderful and devoted caregiver, Jasmine Shakes.
Audrey was a very special person. She had a wonderful sense of humour throughout her life and was a trusted confidante to many. Her interests spanned from yoyo champion, enthusiastic bridge player and golfer, to being a dedicated community volunteer.
Graveside service on Thursday, September 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish & Portuguese Congregation Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt. Shiva at Joe and Elaine’s home Thursday through Sunday.
