Arthur (Junior)’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that the family of the late Arthur (Junior) Osmond, announces his sudden but peaceful passing with his loving family by his side on Friday, July 22nd, 2022 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 61 years. Born in Channel-Port aux Basques, NL, Junior was the son of the late Wallace and Minnie Osmond (nee Thomas). He was also predeceased by his uncles; Fred Thomas, Edwin Thomas, his first cousin; Lionel Thomas, and aunt; Dot Thomas.
Junior leaves behind with many fond and precious memories his loving wife of 33 years; Alisa Osmond, his children; Mason Osmond (Santana), Jennifer Osmond (Dawyne), his grandchildren; Kirstyn, Brennan and Sheena.
Junior will remain in the hearts of his brother; Colin (Cynthia) Osmond, uncle; Douglas Thomas, aunts; Margaret Thomas, Susan Thomas, special friend; Darren Osmond, father and mother-in-law; Hazel and Don Osmond, brothers-in-law; Terry (Bonnie) Osmond and Glen (Tracey) Osmond.
Junior was a very outgoing, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a die hard hockey fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. He was a kind and gentle soul and became friends with anyone who he spoke with. Junior made a career as the baker at Tim Horton’s in Port aux Basques. While working at Tim Horton’s, Junior he met so many people over the years and considered his co-workers as a part of his own family. He will forever be missed and remain in the hearts of his Tim Horton’s family, a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many many friends.
In keeping with Junior’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 26th at 11 a.m. from St. John The Evangelist Church in Cape Ray officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Junior can be made to the family.
