Arthur “Bud” Irvine Fleet
1927-2022
Mr. Arthur Fleet of Grand Harbour,
Grand Manan, NB passed away peacefully on August 2, 2022 with his
family at his side.
Arthur or “Bud” was the son
of the late Caleb and Faye Fleet.
Arthur was a labourer all his life
which spanned farming, fishing and working on his own with a tractor
and truck. After being moved from his childhood home early
in life, he worked and grew up at the Thoroughfare. Arthur
played a big role in the construction of some of the biggest lobster
pounds of the day and worked at those pounds for many years,
processing lobsters and maintaining the pounds.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 64
years Marion Myrtis (Trecartin) Fleet of Grand Harbour, sons Joseph
(Stephanie Morse), Ward (Deborah Guptill) and Colin (Terry Sullivan),
all of Grand Harbour, six grandchildren; Samantha (Daniel), Bryen
(Claude), Paige (Richard), Janice, Clein and Colby, two great
grandchildren; Isaac and Arthur; also nieces, nephews and extended
family.
Arthur is predeceased by his parents
and brothers Delbert, Bedford, Harvey and Hatzell.
There will be visitation on Thursday
from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Community Life Church, Grand Harbour. A
Funeral Service will take place on Friday at the Community Life Church
at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Maple Grove
Cemetery.
A special thanks to the staff of the
Grand Manan Nursing Home and the Grand Manan Hospital for their
unwavering care over these last years.

the Grand Manan Nursing Home and/or the Grand Manan
Hospital.
