IRELAND, Arthur “Art”
Died peacefully at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital on Sunday, June 26, 2022 in his 79th year. Art Ireland, of Wasaga Beach was the beloved husband of Donna (nee Phillips) for 38 years. Loving father of Karen (Doug), Heather (Paul), Colleen and Nadine. Cherished grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Ruth, John (Isabel), Doug (Dorothy), Linda (Jim) and Carol (Penny). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Art loved music, especially guitar, he enjoyed golfing and was a very active member of the AA program for 28 years. Thank you to the staff at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and to Dr. Lane for their compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Art’s Life is being planned for a later date with details to follow as available. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Epilepsy Canada in Art’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
