Pitman, Arnold Ross (Buzz), 96 of Raynardton passed away August 28, 2022, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Ross was affectionately known as Bumpy, and Gramp. Born in Brooklyn, he was a son to the late Hartley and Clara (Tinkham) Pitman. Ross was a dispatcher for the Department of Transportation and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed watching baseball and hockey, always cheering for his Toronto teams, Jays and Maple Leaf’s. He was an active man, thoroughly enjoyed going to blue grass festivals, playing cards, fishing, hunting and champion at playing washers. In his later years he would keep his mind sharp doing crossword puzzles. He is survived by his sons, Arnold (Karen), Deerfield; Randy, Cape Breton; daughters, Barbara (Allan) Winters, Raynardton; Debbie (Erwin) Peneder, Deerfield; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Norma (Larry) Goodwin, Argyle Sound. Aside from his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Audrey (Penney), sisters, Jean and Jessabelle. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11 am from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. A.D. Bill Newell officiating. Interment to take place in the Brooklyn Cemetery. Reception at Brooklyn Bright Lights Seniors Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Online condolences are available by visiting www.
