ARMSTRONG Carol 2022

ARMSTRONG, Carol
December 24, 1938 – August 17, 2022
Carol Armstrong (Cherry) passed on August 17, 2022 Hawthorne Supported Living in Cochrane Alberta. Carol will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children Heather (Butch) Bruchet, Rob (Carol) Armstrong and Rick Armstrong, her 5 beloved grandchildren, Jordan (Katie), Desiree (Elliott), Braden (Morgan), Findlay, Jorja, her great granddaughter Arlo and sister, Lynda Cherry. She was predeceased by her husband Art, parents Emmett and Gwendolyn Cherry and daughter-in-law, Julie Armstrong.
Carol was born on December 24, 1938 in Montreal. She met her husband Art in 1954 and they married on June 18, 1960. They moved to the West Island of Montreal where they bought their first house and raised their three children until 1979 when they were transferred to Calgary. Carol loved Calgary and had many friends with whom she loved to play cards, mainly Bridge, but her greatest love was her grandchildren. She was happiest when they were around her.
We will all remember the many holiday events when Carol and Art hosted the family for dinners and celebrations. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date.
