Armand Girouard
1945-2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Armand
Girouard, husband of Claudette (Dallaire) Girouard, following a long
battle with Parkinson’s disease, at the Villa du Repos in Moncton, on
Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the age of 76. He was a resident of the
Villa du Repos, but formerly of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent. Born in McLean
Settlement, he was the son of the late Edouard (Eddie) and the late
Stella (Nowlan) Girouard.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly
missed by his beloved wife of 52 years, Claudette Girouard of Dieppe,
his two sons he cherished, Marc (Nicole) of Moncton and Luc (Bianka)
of Chelsea, Quebec and his four beloved grandchildren Céline,
Véronique, Matis and Sacha. He is also survived by his brother
Charles-Yvon (Marlene) of Riverview as well as several sisters-in-law,
brothers-in-law, nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by a brother Terry (1982).
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Friday February 4, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00
pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent
Church on Friday February 4, 2022 at 7:00 pm with interment in the
parish cemetery in the spring.
PROOF OF VACCINATION, GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID AND FACE MASK ARE MANDATORY
AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND AT THE CHURCH AS PER THE PUBLIC HEALTH
GUIDELINES.
He spent most of his life working for the Province of New Brunswick,
ending his career as a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer (CVE) in
Bouctouche.

appreciated.
We would like to thank the staff of the CHU Dumont, as well as the
Villa du Repos for their good care and support over the past year.
