Armand ‘Armie’ Larade

Age 76, Cheticamp, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Foyer Père Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp. Armie was the son of the late Joseph and the late Luce Yvonne (Aucoin) Larade.
Armie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved sports. He worked at a picture frame company for over 45 years. He then retired and came back home to Cape Breton to be closer to his family and friends, where his heart always was.
Armie is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Camus) Larade; sons, Ronald (Angela), Glen (Joanna), and Shawn; daughter, Wanda (Neil) Moorby; daughter-in-law, Cathy; brothers, Edgar (Catherine), Semi (Jeannine), Patsy (Julie), Linus (Lucille), Gerard (Lina), and Albert (Lea); sisters, Laurette (Donat) LeBlanc and Helena (André) Aucoin; grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda (Kenny), Michael (Alex), Daniel (Cassandra), Antonio, Nick, Olivia, Anthony, James, Emily, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Taryn, and Eastyn; sisters-in-law, Marie Agnes and Annie Rose; brothers-in-law, Eddie Joe (Annie May), Johnny (Agnes), Daniel (Corinne), Lionel, Marcel, and Rick; and many nieces and nephews.
Armie was predeceased by his sisters, Martine and Mina; parents-in-law, Joseph and Catherine Camus; brothers-in-law, Leopold, Joseph, Victor, Simon, Eddie, Robert, and Albert; sisters-in-law, Cecile Therese, Marie Jessie, Enid, Marion, and Buelah.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at a later date in St. Joseph’s Church, St. Joseph du Moine. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimers Society, Foyer Père Fiset, or a charity of one’s choice.
