Obituary
Peacefully, at John Joseph Place, Owen Sound on Thursday, March 3, 2022 in his 93rd year. Arend, beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Cochrane). Dear brother Geert (Cobie) Schipper of Brampton, Ontario, Aaldert Schipper of Hilversum, Netherlands, and brother-in-law of Phyllis Cochrane of Owen Sound, Ontario. Arend will be missed by his many Schipper and Cochrane nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Canada and the Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Trijntje (nee Reurink) Schipper; his sisters Kla Ebbeling(Siem), Gre Grootenboer (Nic), Geertje VanderEnde (Leen) all of the Netherlands; sister Anna Nieuwenhuizen (Jacob) of Brockville, Ontario; brother Gerard Schipper (Gerda) of the Netherlands; and sister-in-law Joyce Danes (Ernie), and brother-in-law Jim Cochrane of Owen Sound, Ontario.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 7pm-9pm at the Breckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home, 241 9thStreet West, Owen Sound, 519-376-2326. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 11:00am at the SouthEnd Fellowship Baptist Church, 400 2nd Ave SE, Owen Sound, 519-376-1550. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
