ROBINSON, Arda Laurel Christine
June 11, 1942 – January 27, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce that Arda Robinson passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 after a lengthy stay in the Drumheller Hospital.
Arda was born in Drumheller on June 11, 1942, the youngest child of Florence and Nels Westeen. She lived in and around the Drumheller Valley, settling in Drumheller with husband Earle in 1967. An accomplished cook and baker, Arda was known for her many dinner and card parties with family and friends, as well as her elaborate Christmas cookie trays. Camping was one of Arda’s favorite activities and she spent many happy times with Don at Michichi Dam Recreation Area and with Horst at Trenville Park. Arda spent much of her free time working on a variety of arts and crafts projects. She worked in the Drumheller Hospital kitchen and laundry for many years, until she retired at age 60.
Arda will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lori Benninger; son-in-law, Paul; and granddaughter, Sarah. Arda was predeceased by partners, Don Harrison and Horst Rotzoll; husband, Earle Robinson; and son, Dwayne Robinson.
To honor Arda’s wishes, there will be no service. Donations may be made in Arda’s memory to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation, 351 9 Street Drumheller, Alberta T0J 0Y1.
