Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Antonios Jraige at the age of 68 years, who died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Antonios was the beloved husband to Bernadette (Yacoub) for 50 years and the proud father of Saide Saba (Joe), Joe (Dena), Victoria Andary (George), Diane Abi-Samra (Charlie), Jenny Sawaya (Clovis) and Anthony (Amanda). He is the cherished Jidu of James, Suzanna, Antonios-Joseph (AJ), Thomas, Eddie, Helena, Joe Jr., Elie, Bethany, Anthony, Bella, Sayde, Layla, Michael, Valkyrie and Thora.
Antonios is the precious son of Saiide (Abbas) and the late Youssef Jraige and the beloved son-in-law of the late Antonios Rashid Yacoub and the late Hanna (Abbas).
He will be missed by his siblings, Mansaura Saad (Challita), Elias (Rosette), Hasna Nehmetallah (Joe), Sam (Dianne), Bill (Rosette), John (Najet), George (Elaine), Neil (Rania) and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rashid Yacoub (Melanie), the late Helena Yacoub, Maurice Yacoub (late Roseann), Sarkis Yacoub (Claudette), Theresa Gebrael (Maurice), late Bakhos Yacoub (Ferial), Elias Yacoub (Henid) and Rita Tannous (Dany).
Antonios was also adored by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was a pillar of support and guiding light for his family and friends. He was a loved and respected member of the community and will be missed by all. He was a genuine human who touched many lives with his kindness, compassion and generosity.
Visiting at Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington on Monday, October 24, 2022 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Parish, 280 Talbot Street East, Leamington, Ontario on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 10am. As an expression of sympathy in Antonios’ honour, donations may be made to St. Anthony’s Parish.
