It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Antonietta Minicucci. Mom came to Canada on June 25th, 1953 and reunited with the love of her life Domenico. Their love story began with building a family and opened their home to their brothers who immigrated from Italy. Mom provided everyone with good meals, a roof over their heads and many do’s and don’ts. Antonietta began her career at Firth Brothers Ltd. where she learned to sew uniforms for the Hamilton Police services and men’s apparel. She was a woman of may talents, taught her sister in laws how to cook and bake. She taught her 3 roses, Maria (John), Tina (Peter) and Anna (Elio) the ropes of her life. Our mom had a silent way of supporting us and always had our backs. Mom lived a full life of 91 years and loved us till the end. She always said “Respect and you will be respected”. The joys of her life were her 6 grandchildren, Domenic, Anthony, Helena, Eric, Rachel and Luke. They truly had a great time drinking tequila shots and spending time together. We love you Ma, be at peace and say hi to Pappa. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated.
