Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Tony Baldwin, age 55 on March 2, 2022 in Lethbridge AB after a long battle with numerous illnesses.
Tony was born in Saskatoon, where he lived most of his life except for the 2 years he spent policing in St. Catherines, ON. He then moved to Lethbridge, enrolled, and graduated from the Criminal Justice program at the college and found himself employed with the Blood Tribe Police shortly after. Tony worked with the B.T.P for 17 years and held many roles within such as dispatcher, guard, administrator, and court liaison. He was proud of the work he did and would come to call his fellow members of the Blood Tribe Police, his second family. Tony had a great passion for everything and anything, police or military related and vested many hours researching and collecting. Along with this passion, was his love for animals especially cats and dogs and you would often find him stopping on the reserve to feed strays with the doggie bags he would bring from home.
Tony is survived by his wife Sheri, daughters Chantae Many Shots (granddaughters, Lilly and Poppy), Natasha Clark (granddaughter Adalayne), brother Guy Dlouhy, sister Leeann Dlouhy and their families, brother-in-law, Wayne (Gail) and family as well as his cherished lifelong friends, Vern, Kevin, Shawn, Felix and families. He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Dlouhy, father Tony Baldwin Sr. and Uncle Kaye Baldwin.
At Tony’s request, there will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held March 26th, 1-3:30pm at the LDS Church, 4105 Forestry Avenue, Lethbridge AB. In honor of Tony’s love for policing and the military, please wear your dress uniform, beret, medals, badges or pins.
