Annie Zacher 2022

Annie Zacher passed away peacefully at St. Marguerite Manor on Monday, October 31, 2022. She is survived by her children, Rodney(Carrie),Timothy(Jane) and Colleen(Dave); Grandchildren, Janette, Bonnie(Josh), Beverly, Kyle, Ian, Mikaela and Samantha ( Jesse); Great-grandchildren, Mila, Brady and a large extended family.
Annie was predeceased by her husband, George in 2017; and her son Kenneth George in 1997.
Annie always had a delicious hot meal on the table for family and friends. She mastered the art of making Ukrainian perogies. It took a few years of learning from her Mother of how to get the dough just right but it was well worth the wait. Her family always came first. She had a way of calming a baby like no other and could always bring a smile or giggle across their face. She loved watching her grandchildren grow and always knew the right advice to give.
She was a devoted wife of 64 years and spent 15 years of snow-birding where they met many friends and she enjoyed playing cards and doing crafts.
Heartfelt thanks go out to the incredible staff at St. Marguerite Manor ( of which she called home) and Dr. William Wertzler who so compassionately took care of her for the last three years of her life.
A memorial service for Annie will be held at a later date.
If friends desire; donations may be made to Alzheimer’s society of Alberta
