Annie Jean Simpson, wife of the late Royce Simpson of Old Manse Road Tabusintac formally of Nordin, passed away at her late residence on Saturday, may 21, 2022 at the age of 100.
Born in Derby, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Isabelle (Darron) Taylor. She was a former Registered Nurse at Miramichi Hospital, member of the Order of Eastern Star Prince Andrew Chapter, Past Matron and a member of the United Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Churchill of Neguac; her 3 sons, Alan Simpson (Heather) of Pictou NS, Wayne Simpson (Susan) of Miramichi and Daryl Simpson (Sharon) of Miramichi; her sister, Helen Ferguson (Don) of Burlington, Ontario; her 7 grandchildren, Terri Lynn, Amy, Michael, Leeann, Taylor, Eric and Matthew and her great grandchildren, Isabella, Claire, Maxton, Ella, Ashlyn, Brynn, Harper, Kaeley and Connor.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Arnold, Allan, Jack and Robert and son-in-law Ken Churchill.
Anne Jean Simpson is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy with visitation on Tuesday from 5-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at a time to be announced at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel.
In her memory, donations to Burnt Church Union Cemetery or a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
