Obituary
Annie Boitson
January 28, 1942 – April 03, 2022
Heaven has gained a sweet angel with a heart of gold.
It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announce the passing of Annie Boitson into heaven’s gates.
Mom was predeceased by her parents John and Katie Welchinski, along with siblings: Rosie, Michael, Victor (her twin), Wallace, Mary and Stanley; husband Joseph Dembowski Sr.; son Joseph Jr.; second husband Orest Boitson and recently her lifelong friend Katie Chic. She is survived by her daughter Audrey Hilton, grandsons Michael Nichols (Shelly) and David Nichols (Nanci), great-granddaughter Maddie; son Michael Dembowski (Arwen); son Ronald Dembowski (Jansje), grandson Rylan; brother Walter (Evelyn), many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mom was born and raised on the family farm just north of Fraserwood, MB. She spent her young life attending school and helping out on the farm. In married life, with dad, they raised four of us kids with most of our time being spent on our family farm in Meleb, MB. After dad’s passing, mom later married Orest and they made their forever home together in Winnipeg Beach, MB. Mom had been working at Woolco and retired in 1995 along with Orest. They both loved their flower and vegetable gardens and liked the bus tours to the casinos. Mom loved her cats, Milo, who she had for 18 years, then Missy for just over 8 years, who was her shadow, following her everywhere.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Gimli, MB for all their help and encouragement to help mom achieve a comfortable level of life for the rest of her days. We can’t say enough about the wonderful family environment created for mom. Thank you for all the visitors and calls as she cherished them all.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Stephen’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Pleasant Home, MB, with interment to follow in the churchyard cemetery.
Rest In Peace and free of pain mom.
Your family loves you.
