Obituary
Anne Simpson passed away peacefully on August 24, 2022 at the age of 81 years.
Anne was born May 11, 1941 in Fort Vermilion, AB to Metro and Katie Batt.
At the age of 18 Anne moved to Manning, AB and worked various jobs including nanny, housekeeping, and waitressing. Thru one of these jobs Anne met Don Simpson and became a wife in 1960. Together they homesteaded in Deadwood, AB and raised their 3 daughters. She was the manager at Mcleods store.
She loved to make and decorate cakes, sew, build thing with dad and she loved to garden. She was also a caregiver to Carol over the years.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Debbie (Lee) Robinson, Lori (Guy) Mortson and Barb Simpson; 6 grandchildren and their spouses; 12 great grandchildren; Brothers, Harry and Paul Batt and their families, as well numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, Don; parents, Metro and Katie Batt; brother, Peter and his wife Norma Batt; sister, Katherine and her husband Steve Yasinski and brother, Glenn Batt.
In honor of Anne’s request, burial of her ashes was held at a private family gathering.
