Henderson (Best), Anne Ellen – It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Ellen Henderson announce her peaceful passing on May 14, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, surrounded by love.
Anne was born in Truro, the third child of seven born to the late Mary (MacDonald) Best (Fielding), the late Ralph Best and the late John “Jock” Fielding.
Anne is survived by her loving devoted husband of over 50 years, Gordon Henderson; children, Sharon (Joseph Bellaera), Toronto; Debbie (Stephen Vaughan), Upper Cloverdale, NB; Kevin (Lise) McNutt, New Scotland, NB; Russell (Krista) Henderson, Bible Hill; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Vena, Gordon “Doz”, Marie “Cookie”, Gary and Gail. She was predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Stewart.
A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Anne loved her family, friends, flowers, bowling, camping and singing. Anne was known to be a great listener who loved to laugh and enjoy life. She was devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Anne and Gordon shared a deep love for each other.
A special thank you to the hospital staff.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
Anne will be sadly missed by her family and friends each day but never forgotten.
