It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Patricia Vivian Hannam, 81, of Bridgewater and formerly of Lunenburg, announces her passing on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Lunenburg, Anna was the daughter of the late Gerald Howard and Marion Loretta (Conrad) Smith.
In her earlier years, Anna worked at Riverport Seafoods Ltd. and then with Deep Sea Trawlers and with the Business Development office in Lunenburg.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, quality times spent with family at home, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, knitting, sewing and enjoying reading.
Anna is survived by her daughters, Bridget Stevens, Pickering, Ontario, Brenda (Craig Young) Mount Uniacke; sons, Gerald, Bridgewater, Brian (Hilda), Bridgewater, Michael, Bridgewater, grandchildren, Tiffany, Samantha, Ashley, Candice, Rachel and Shawna and 8 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Bernard (Ben) and half-sister, Marguerite Conrad.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A private family graveside committal service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada, Lung Association of Nova Scotia or to a charity of your choice.
