Anna Mae Delorey 1933 2022

Delorey, Anna Mae
It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Mae Delorey
announces her passing on Saturday, April 9th,
2022, at the age of 88. She passed away peacefully in her
home in Pomquet with family by her side.
Born in Pomquet on September 1, 1933, she was a daughter of
the late James and Annie (Benoit) DeWolfe and the last surviving
member of her immediate family.
Anna was a woman of great faith with her prayer book always
by her side. She always had the teapot on for family,
friends, and neighbours and rarely missed a game of Radio
Bingo. Always there to help anyone in need, her greatest joy
in life was her family.
Left with fond and loving memories are husband, Clem, of 61
years. She is survived by daughters, Cindy (Charles), of
Linden, and their children, Corey (Katie), Travis (Trudi), and Kelly
(Gio); Karen, of Pomquet; Janet (Joey), of Tracadie, and their
children, Mitchell (Emily), Hannah (MacK), and Myron; Bonita, of
Heatherton; Annette (Glenn), of Brookfield, and their children,
Melissa (Vernon), Ryan (Janine), and Lauren (Ashten); Noella (Howie),
of Middle Arm, NL; stepson, Shawn; son, Ronnie (Cecilia), of Pomquet,
and their children, Beth, Daniel, Toshia (Brad), and Amber.
She is survived by six great-grandchildren, Caleb, Liam, Nora, Mia,
Luke, and Bella.
She was predeceased by sisters, Theresa, Rita, and Mary;
brothers, Clarence, Arthur, and Wilfred, and a brother in infancy; and
great-granddaughter, Claire.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in
C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00am in Ste. Croix Church,
Pomquet, with Reverend Andrew Gillies presiding. Burial in
the parish cemetery at a later date.
The family requests that anyone attending the
visitation or funeral please wear a
mask.
In Memoriam, donations to CACL or VON Antigonish
appreciated.
We would like to express sincere thanks and much appreciation
to everyone who was involved in Mom’s care throughout her
journey, especially Continuing Care, VON, the palliative care team,
