Whalen ,Ann In her 91 st year died peacefully with family beside her at the Madeline on September 26 2022. Ann is survived by Maureen(Terry Morrison)PEI, Richard(Claire Tollefson)Whalen BC, Jennifer Price NS, Dennis Whalen Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years George Whalen .
Ann lived a full life with George some of her happiest memories were with family at Clear Lake their retirement home in Ontario.
She worked at Brock University Library as an Evening Supervisor. This was one of the most fulfilling times of her life. She enjoyed her friends coworkers and the students.
Mom was a lot of fun. She loved to tell stories and laugh. She was a wonderful cook and baker.
Her sense of humour never left her. She was a strong person with a lot of dignity and integrity. Like her humor those qualities remained integral to her personality as her disease progressed.
As a family we would like to thank the staff of The Madeline for their exceptional and loving care of our Mom. We would also like to recognize the kind and compassionate care provided by Dr Holly Zwicker.
Mom will be deeply missed. Next time you are in your kitchen crank the music cook with family and laugh .
