SMITH, Ann F. (nee Taillon) – Our dear sweet Mother passed away peacefully on January 28, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospice. We will be forever grateful for the gentle, respectful and loving care our Mother received during her stay at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Thank you to all of you. Ann loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. A very important part of Ann’s life were here 8 children, 16 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. Mom enjoyed working for the Sisters of Mount St. Joseph as the receptionist for 25 years. She would always greet guests and friends as they entered the big front doors with her beautiful contagious smile. Ann was predeceased by her second husband Donald A. Smith of Sarnia. They spent 20 happy and wonderful years together. She embraced and loved Don’s children and grandchildren as her own. Ann was predeceased by 7 of her 15 brothers and sisters of Cornwall, Ontario. Also predeceased by her son, Ronald Goulet (1976). Ann will be greatly missed by her children, Paul Emile (Karen), Marcel (Barb), Gerald (Bonnie), Dianne Rodgers (John), Pauline Klassen (John), Daniel (Maria), Michael (Lisa), and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice of London would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Sending love and sympathy to all of Ann’s family. She was such a light of love and warmth. She treated myself and my sisters as her own grandchildren and we loved her like our own. She will forever be our Mamere.

  2. My most sincere condolences to you all. Anne was the sweetest woman, best mother and a wonderful friend. My Mom always looked forward to her visits, and Dianne and Pauline I can never thank you enough for taking Anne to see her. She was my Mom’s dear friend. She was kind and thoughtful with all of us neighborhood kids growing up. She always had room at the table for one more, a kind word when you needed it or a wise word when you needed that also.
    With fond remembrance,
    Jim
