Passed away in the presence of her loving family on May 17, 2022. Anita was born on January 9,1923 in Montreal. An avid traveler, she and her husband traveled the globe, with her visiting places including Africa, Egypt, China, and New Zealand. From riding in hot air balloons and flying in her husband’s plane to climbing the steps of Machu Picchu, her sense of adventure never waned. She spent her winters in South Florida, socializing with family and friends, both at home and at her favorite local haunts. Originally vacationing there on a sailboat, she soon settled into her winter home in Pompano Beach in 1985. She also has the distinction of being the only original owner in Creg Quay. She is predeceased by her devoted husband, Fran (Francis A. Nunns). Beloved mother of Heather (Duncan Sampson), the late David Nunns, Cynthia (Michael Cafferky), and Stephen (Karen Houppert). Much adored by her grandchildren as Nita: Christopher, Amy, Meghan, Nicholas, Robert, Matthew, and Zachary. Forever in the hearts of her seven great-grandchildren: Jack, Dylan, Carter, Finnley, Kennedy, Quinn, and Cole. The cherished memories and the wisdom she shared will always be remembered. Her amazing strength will continue to inspire those who love her. There will be a celebration of life for her in August. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank the Bayshore nurses for their kind care and support.
