Anita and Mike Kinasewich

Obituary
Anita Louise Kinasewich (nee Lastiwka)
February 23, 1935 – November 21, 2022
Anita died peacefully at the age of 87 at Kelowna General Hospital. Anita lived her life with humour, strength and curiosity. She will be remembered for the pleasure she took in her friendships, music, reading and cute animals. Her deep affection for her children and granddaughter will live on.
Anita was predeceased by Mike, her loving and devoted husband of sixty-one years, in 2018.
Mike Kinasewich
November 28, 1931 – May 20, 2018
Mike was a team player in life and in sport. He was a hard worker, remembered for how he could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. He was an avid athlete who excelled at hockey, baseball and golf. Mike’s large extended family, his children, and granddaughter are the beneficiaries of his loving nurturing ways.
Anita and Mike will be remembered and sadly missed by their son Don (Sarah), daughter Tracy (Rob) and granddaughter Lydia, along with many surviving members of their extended families.
Both Mike and Anita requested no funeral service, but we ask that you please help us celebrate their lives by thinking of Anita at those times you are moved by a piece of music and of Mike when someone offers you their assistance.
If you wish, a donation in honour of Mike and Anita may be made to KGH Foundation Central Okanagan Hospice House at hospicehousekelowna.com, or by mail at 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 1T2.
