On Friday, August 5, 2022, surrounded by love, at her childhood home in Rollo Bay, Angela Campbell, age 45, found peace. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Daryl Burgess and will be forever loved by her parents, Danny and Donna (nee MacLean), her sister and family, Andrea (Jeff), Porter and Georgia Clinton. Angela will also be lovingly remembered by Daryl’s daughters Ashley and Lauren, and his mother Sandy, who welcomed her into their family. She also had a great love for her dogs Sadie and Maisie and is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Angela gifted her time, attention, and love to the many important young people in her life and she would say she was rewarded tenfold. She was often the glue that brought people together, letting them be their best selves, whether at work in her role as project manager or amongst family and friends. In her almost 46 years Angela did what was most important – loved and was loved unconditionally, providing us an example of a strong, caring, independent woman. As you remember Angela, think of her tapping those perfectly polished toes to a fiddle tune, being on the other end of the line to offer support, hiking a trail with Sadie and Maisie, or cheering you on from a sideline.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre. An extra special thanks to Dr. LePage for the personalized care she gave Angela. Finally, to all those who worked hard to make MAID a possibility, a heartfelt thank you for creating space for people to end suffering with dignity.
A public visitation will be held at Dingwell Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 5-8pm. By personal request, a celebration of life will take place at a later date for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Angela can be made to The Terry Fox Foundation, a cause Angela felt strongly about.
