Obituary of Andrew Higgins
Passed peacefully away on March 12, 2022, Andrew John Higgins at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre. He was 93 years of age.
Mr. Higgins retired from Abitibi paper mill and was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Grand Falls-Windsor.
Predeceased by wife Edna Higgins, parents Philomenia and William Higgins, sister Geraldine, brother Michael, son Michael, brother-in-law Terry Ballard, and son-in-law Ross Dyke.
Left to mourn are sons: Aloysius (Judy) Higgins, Terry (Dorothy) Higgins, and Tom (Jill) Higgins, daughters: Margaret Dyke, Norma (Robert) Chislett, Joan (Tom) Barker, Yvonne (Rick) Higgins, Edwina (Randy) Barker, Marilyn (Ray) Way, Darlene Higgins, Melinda (Rob) Higgins and Heather (Al) Murphy, his special granddaughter Amanda (Kyle) Higgins, sister Philomenia (Jack) Pretty, brothers: Frank (Vickie) Higgins, and Winfield (Lillian) Higgins, as well as, 24 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are grandsons Stephen Higgins, Marc Higgins, Rod Dyke, Darren Dyke, Bradley Way, and great-grandson Adam Dyke.
Internmnet will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
