Andrea Mary Donaghue Hymers Tuesday September 27th 2022

Andrea (Hymers) Donaghue, 70, of Hamilton, passed away September 27, 2022, with loved ones by her side. She was born to the late Dana and Mary Hymers, December 23, 1951, in Hamilton, Ontario. Andrea graduated from Orchard Park Secondary School and went on to study Fine Arts at McMaster University.
Andrea was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother who gave her all to her family. A talented artist, she drew and painted fabulous portraits of her loved ones. Andrea was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Andrea was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Andrea joins her husband, Ken, her parents, Dana and Mary, and her brother, Randy, in Heaven. She is survived by her children, Danielle (Kevin), and Tony, her brother, John (Bev) and her grandchildren, Benjamin and Alexis. She is also survived by nephews, David (Jan) and Jeremy (Alex), many cousins, and many good friends.
Visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of the QEW), Burlington on Monday, October 3rd from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line in Burlington on Tuesday, October 4 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
