It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Andrea Jane Cooper on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at age 54 years. Much beloved wife of Don Cooper of 24 years. Devoted mother to Rachel and Sydney Cooper. Daughter to Patrick Howarth. Sister to Nicky Taylor (Phillip), Paul Howarth (Mimi), and Stuart Howarth (Sarah). Predeceased by her mom Lelia (Lee) Howarth. Andrea will be deeply missed by her nephews and nieces and by her many friends in the community. She lived and worked in Brantford for all of her adult life, serving the city as an exemplary police officer for thirty years. Through her career, she forged strong relationships with people at her work and throughout the community, many of which she upheld after retirement. Andrea’s love of horses was able to take off in her free time after retiring, with many hours spent looking after her horse, Lily. She looked forward to our extended family summer trips across Canada. Camping, outings and fondues with friends were a source of enjoyment. We would like to thank the attending paramedics and police officers for their exemplary efforts and professionalism. Per her wishes, Andrea will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date, once safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Whispering Hearts Horse Rescue (whhrescue.com).
