It is with great sadness the family of Anastasia Seaward (nee Walsh) announce her passing on Thursday, January 20th,2022 at The Western Long Term Care, Corner Brook at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of loving memories are her children; Terry (Maaike), Randy (Crystal), Doreen (Lester), Sharon (Graham), Roy (Joanne), Cyril and Bruce. Grandchildren; Maaike, Nathan ,Megan, Cyril, Matthew, Sara, Amy, Leah, Max, Kirk, Leslie, B.J., Chris, William, Michael, Julie, Grady, Vicki, Brianna and Gracie. 19 great grandchildren. Brother-in-law George Caines; sister-in-laws; Yvonne Walsh, Mima Walsh and Loretta Seaward. Also left to mourn are many other nieces, nephews other family and friends. Anastasia was predeceased by the love of her life William Seaward, her parents; William & Anne Walsh, brothers; Cyril Walsh, Francis Walsh, Joseph Walsh and Patrick Counsel, sisters; Josephine Smith, Bridget Verdini and Elizabeth Caines, daughter-in-law; Helen Seaward and great granddaughter Jade Williams. Mother & father-in-law William and Irene Seaward; brother & sisters-in-law; James Smith, Dominic Verdini, James Walsh, (Levina), Patrick (Dorothy) Seaward, Allison (Agatha) Seaward, Lawrence (Rita) Seaward, John Seaward, Phyllis Seaward, Rose Chaulk, Florence (Hedley) Smith, Gwen Walsh and Clarice Counsel.
Mom’s family moved to Midland, Pasadena from red Island, Placentia Bay when mom was 6 years old. Years later she met and married the love of her life, Bill Seaward. Dad adored her as well as her seven children. She was everything to all of us. She was known as Mom, Queen, Nan, Nanny Annie and super Nan. Her family was her life and her life was her family.
In keeping with Anastasia’s wishes cremation will take place. Celebration of Life will be held at the Holy Rosary Parish in Pasadena on Thursday, January 27th,2022 at 10:30 am with Father Patry officiating, internment will follow at the family plot at the RC cemetery in Pasadena. The funeral service will be limited in numbers due to the current covid-19 restrictions, proof of vaccination and masks are mandatory.
